Worship Internship

We believe in training the next generation of worshippers, worship leaders and musicians, so we are opening internship opportunities for you to come and join us for a year, down in Church of Christ the King, Brighton.

1 year internship programme

  • Joining a thriving, multisite church in a creative City
  • Serving one of our Site worship teams on Sundays
  • Helping run large-scale Christmas and Easter live music events
  • Working alongside the Newday worship team
  • Going deeper theologically through the Bible training blocks
  • Specific focus areas including worship leading, songwriting, video editing, social media, sound, lighting, event management and administration

Who can apply?

The internship is primarily geared towards worship leaders, musicians and creatives who have a passion for God, the local church and mission:

Worship Leaders

We want to come alongside growing worship leaders and encourage, apprentice, train and coach them as best we can. This is not an internship for beginners, but more for worship leaders who are established in their gifting and already been leading on Sundays for a couple of years or more.

We want to give opportunity for skilled musicians to come be part of a thriving multisite church, grow in their gifting, play in different bands, serve the church, whilst growing in their identity and walk with God.

We also want to give opportunity to join our creative teams, focusing on production, sound, lighting, set-design, video-editing, photography, social media, communications, website management. Again, some proven level of background skill and experience will be required in your chosen areas.

This would be great for a gap-year student or Post-Graduate looking for a year to grow in God, develop their gifting and serve a local church. However, all age-ranges are welcome to apply.

We are now taking applications for September 2018. The closing date for worship applications is October 31st 2017.

How much?

The cost of the year is £850.

The internship would require you living in Brighton with a 3-4 day mid-week timetable, plus serving on Sundays. As the internship is a voluntary year, we have purposefully left space for interns to work a job one day a week in Brighton, which we would strongly encourage.

The application process

As spaces are limited, unfortunately we cannot take on everyone who applies. However, we will prayerfully consider every application and where appropriate, meet with you personally to help decide if this is the right year for you.
